CHICAGO -- A quick look at the Chicago Cubs' 5-3 loss to the Colorado Rockies on Monday night at Wrigley Field.

The good: Kosuke Fukudome had a career-best five-hit night and Darwin Barney hit his first major league home run in the first inning.

The bad: Three errors by Starlin Castro and one by starter Matt Garza allowed four unearned runs to score. Barney failed to bunt in an obvious bunt situation as the Cubs failed to score with two men on base and no outs in the sixth.

Beyond the box score: Cubs manager Mike Quade contemplated using left-handed Fukudome against a left-handed starter on Tuesday night. Fukudome is hitting a torrid .567 during his current eight-game hitting streak.

Up next: The Cubs’ James Russell (1-2) will face Colorado’s Jorge De La Rosa (3-0) on Tuesday night at Wrigley Field.
