CHICAGO -- A quick look at the Chicago Cubs' 1-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday night at Wrigley Field.

The good: Ryan Dempster shut down one of the hottest teams in baseball, going seven strong innings, allowing no runs and striking out seven.

The bad: The Cubs continue to add names to the injury list as Kerry Wood went on the DL before the game.

Outside the box score: Dempster continued his career long domination of the Brewers as he lowered his career ERA against Milwaukee to 2.50.

Up next: Randy Wells (1-1, 6.50 ERA) takes on Yovani Gallardo (8-3, 3.96) as the Cubs look to take two straight from the Brewers at Wrigley Field Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.
