CHICAGO -- Chicago Cubs owner Tim Ricketts doesn't believe in guarantees, but he expects manager Lou Piniella to last the season.

Two days after Cubs general manager Jim Hendry gave Piniella, who is in the final year of a four-year contract, a vote of confidence, the Cubs owner threw his support behind the veteran manager.

"As the owner I don't guarantee anything, it's Jim's decision," Ricketts said on Wednesday on "Waddle & Silvy" on ESPN 1000. "I think [Piniella finishing the season] is what to expect. The fact is we like Lou, we support Lou. He's done very well for this team. He wants to win. He's the kind of guy you want leading your team. The players respect him and he's doing a good job."

The Cubs' bunt tourney is cool, but as @cst_cubs suggested, the brackets should be: Sheffield, Clark, Waveland and Addison.
