Bob Brenly thinks Cubs could use help
The Chicago Cubs recently denied they’d spoken with longtime baseball executive Pat Gillick, but television commentator Bob Brenly thinks adding more baseball leadership to the organization is an idea worth pursuing.
“It depends on who that person is,” Brenly said Saturday on ESPN 1000’s “Talking Baseball.” “I think there are a lot of good baseball people out there, certainly Pat Gillick’s name has come up a lot lately. I think anytime you get an opportunity to add somebody who’s had the wealth of experience that Pat Gillick has had in this game and that’s had the track record of success, if you have an opportunity to add that guy to the fold, I think it would be a huge mistake not to.”
