Crete-Monee CB Standifer picks Michigan

By Scott Powers

Crete-Monee junior defensive back Anthony Standifer committed to Michigan.

Standifer, a 6-foot, 175-pound cornerback, chose the Wolverines over Iowa, Minnesota, Northern Illinois and Notre Dame, among others.

“He is an extremely talented athlete that loves football,” Crete-Monee coach Jerry Verde said. “He is a pleasure to coach and has all tools to be highly successful playing in the Big Ten.”

Standifer is Michigan’s 14th Class of 2012 commitment.
