CHICAGO -- Here’s a quick look at the Chicago White Sox’s 10-1 win over the Houston Astros at U.S. Cellular Field on Saturday.

How it happened: Chris Sale’s dominance continued on Saturday. He improved to 8-2 and lowered his ERA to 2.05 after allowing four hits and no runs in eight innings. He’s allowed four runs over his last 36 2/3 innings and has won his last five outings. The White Sox’s offense came to his support in the fifth inning by batting around the lineup and scoring five runs. Adam Dunn put an exclamation mark on Chicago’s victory with a grand slam in the bottom of the 8th. Gordon Beckham had three hits and three RBIs, and Alejandro De Aza had four hits.

What it means: The White Sox evened the series with Astros heading into Sunday’s final game. The White Sox will also remain at least a half of game ahead of the Cleveland Indians in the American League Central. The Indians play the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday night.

Outside the box: Sale has been a stopper for the White Sox this season. Six of his eight wins have come after losses.

Up next: The White Sox will close out their three-game series with the Astros on Sunday. Philip Humber (2-3, 5.68) will start for the White Sox, and Lucas Harrell (5-4, 4.70) will go for the Astros.
