CHICAGO -- Here’s a quick look at the Chicago White Sox's 11-9 loss to the Houston Astros on Sunday.

How it happened: Things have not gotten any better for starter Phil Humber, whose struggles continued on Sunday afternoon. Humber was rocked for six runs on six hits, including three home runs, in 5 1/3 innings of work. He allowed a towering 461-foot home run to Justin Maxwell in the fifth, a shot that hit Section 357 in left field of U.S. Cellular Field. Humber also allowed three home runs in an April 26 loss to the Boston Red Sox. About the only smooth going for Humber was when he struck out five straight batters from the third to the fourth innings. The Astros had their way with the rest of the Sox’s pitchers, tagging reliever Nate Jones for three runs on three hits in two-thirds of an inning and adding a Jose Altuve homer off of Zach Stewart in the eighth. The Astros even scored on a double steal in the sixth. A three-run home run by Orlando Hudson in the ninth made things interesting, although the rally fell short. Paul Konerko and Adam Dunn also homered for the Sox.
What it means: The White Sox concluded their homestand with a 4-5 record, leaving them with a half-game lead over the Cleveland Indians in the AL Central as they head to the road for the next week.
Ouside the box score: Even with third baseman Brent Morel now sidelined indefinitely, manager Robin Ventura shot down any possibility of Dayan Viciedo getting some playing time at third base; Viciedo came into the White Sox organization as a third baseman, playing 23 games there during the 2010 season. Ventura said it wouldn’t be fair to Viciedo, who has had a smooth transition to left field after playing mostly in right last season. With upcoming interleague series against the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers, Ventura said Viciedo will likely face the Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw, with Dunn occupying left field in most other games.
Up next: Lefty Jose Quintana (1-1) will make his fourth start of the season on Tuesday, opposing right hander Adam Wainwright (5-6) in the series opener at the St. Louis Cardinals. Game time is 7:15.

Can you find the most glaring mistake on yesterday's lineup card? (Not a question of managerial strategy.) http://t.co/KbnS1CmqOf
