Lineup: Stewart gets call vs. Cubs

CHICAGO -- Chicago White Sox pitcher Zach Stewart will make his first start of the season against the Chicago Cubs on Monday.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura decided to spot start Stewart on Monday to give Jake Peavy and Chris Sale an extra day of rest. Peavy will start on Wednesday, and Sale is pushed back to Friday.

Stewart has made 11 career starts and has been used in long relief occasionally this season. He’s pitched two or more innings five times this season.

Stewart had trouble with the Cubs when he faced them in a relief role at Wrigley Field on May 19. He allowed four hits, four runs and two walks in one inning in the White Sox’s 7-4 win.

Stewart is 1-1 with a 5.18 ERA in 17 appearances and 24 1/3 innings this season.
