White Sox outfielder Carlos Quentin will begin a rehab assignment in Charlotte, the team's Triple-A affiliate, on Saturday.
Quentin has been on the DL since May 29 with plantar fasciitis of the left foot. The White Sox left fielder led the team with 36 home runs and 100 RBIs in 2008. It's unknown when Quentin will get back on the field because of the nature of the injury.
