Sox lineup: Homestand last for a while

CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox not only packed their bags for the All-Star break on Sunday, but they also got them ready for an extensive road trip to begin the season’s second half.

Just as U.S. Cellular Field began to be an advantageous place for them to play, the White Sox will be saying goodbye to home for most of July after Sunday’s game with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Following the All-Star break, the White Sox will open a 10-game road trip beginning on Friday and will play 16 road games from July 13-Aug. 1. They’ll have one more home series in July.

Before the White Sox hit the road, though, they have a chance Sunday to complete a perfect homestand (six games of more) for just the seventh time in franchise history. The White Sox swept the Texas Rangers in a three-game series and have won their first two games against the Blue Jays. The White Sox’s last perfect homestand came in 2010 when they went 7-0.

Here’s the White Sox’s lineup against the Blue Jays and their starter Brett Cecil (2-1, 5.64):

1. Alejandro De Aza, CF

2. Kevin Youkilis, 1B

3. Adam Dunn, DH

4. Paul Konerko, DH

5. Alex Rios, RF

6. Alexei Ramirez, SS

7. Dayan Viciedo, LF

8. Tyler Flowers, C

9. Gordon Beckham, 2B

Dylan Axelrod, RHP
