Chris Sale and Paul Konerko were the first Chicago players to enter the All-Star Game, taking the field in the top of the sixth.

Sale allowed two hits, but escaped the inning without allowing a run. Konerko was hit by a pitch in the bottom half of the inning, but appeared fine and took first base.

The White Sox starter got Rafael Furcal to fly out to center to lead off the inning. Chipper Jones then singled to right after second baseman Ian Kinsler took a few steps the wrong direction. Andrew McCutchen followed with a hard-hit single to left.

Sale then got Jay Bruce to fly out to center in a one-pitch at-bat and stuck out David Freese to end the inning.

The White Sox put a one-inning limit on Sale, who is in his first season as a starter.
