Sox lineup: Ready to start big series

The Chicago White Sox open their biggest series of the 2012 season to date on Friday.

The first-place White Sox begin a weekend set with the Detroit Tigers, who only trail them by 1 ½ games in the American League Central.

The series opener will feature two All-Star pitchers on the mound. Jake Peavy (7-6, 3.12) will start for the White Sox, and Justin Verlander (10-5, 2.43) will start for the Tigers.
