CHICAGO -- Here’s a quick look at the Chicago White Sox’s 8-2 win over the Minnesota Twins at U.S. Cellular Field on Wednesday.

How it happened: The White Sox clobbered Twins’ pitching for the third consecutive day. The White Sox scored at least seven runs in all three games. Dayan Viciedo led the offensive attack on Wednesday with three hits, including a double and home run and four RBIs. Alex Rios also hit a two-run home run. The production was more than enough for White Sox starting pitcher Jake Peavy. He allowed six hits and one earned run in six innings for the win.

What it means: The White Sox bounced back from a five-game losing streak with a three-game sweep of the Twins. The White Sox remain in first place in the American league Central and could have sole possession of it if the Detroit Tigers lose on Wednesday night.

Outside the box: Viciedo, the team's left fielder, committed his first error in 109 games when he dropped a fly ball in left field. It was his first error in 82 games in left field.

Up next: The White Sox have Thursday off before hitting the road for a three-game series with the Texas Rangers.
