Here's a quick look at the Chicago White Sox's 3-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday:

HOW IT HAPPENED: The White Sox gave Jose Quintana just enough run support which has been rare for the rookie left-hander. Quintana hadn't won since beating Texas on July 5 and had two or fewer runs in eight of his 13 starts going into Tuesday's game. Quintana went 6 2/3 innings, striking out four, allowing two earned runs to pick up his fifth win of the season. Meanwhile, the Sox used a three-run fifth inning when singles by Alejandro De Aza and Dewayne Wise plated two runs and a wild pickoff throw to first scored Dayan Viciedo from third for a 3-2 Chicago lead. Addison Reed worked the ninth for his 21st save.

WHAT IT MEANS: The White Sox got a much-needed win in Toronto. They had lost four straight and 16 of their past 19 game at the Rogers Centre heading into Tuesday.

NEXT: The four-game series continues at 6:07 p.m. CT Wednesday when Gavin Floyd (8-9, 4.43 ERA) pitches for the White Sox against the Jays' Ricky Romero (8-9, 5.32).
