CHICAGO -- Chicago White Sox center fielder Alejandro De Aza will miss his third consecutive game Monday, sitting out the team’s series opener against the New York Yankees due to an oblique injury.

De Aza, who is hitting .281 with 73 runs, 125 hits and 44 RBIs, also missed the White Sox’s final two games against the Kansas City Royals.

“We’re still trying to figure out how much he can go,” White Sox manager Robin Ventura said prior to Monday’s game. “We’re going to have him out here in BP and check it out. He can’t go for the game today, but just seeing how long we think that’s going to take.”

De Aza will be replaced by Dewayne Wise in centerfield and in the leadoff spot against the Yankees. Wise played 56 games with the Yankees earlier this season.

Here’s the White Sox’s lineup against the Yankees on Monday:

1. Dewayne Wise, CF
2. Kevin Youkilis, 3B
3. Adam Dunn, DH
4. Paul Konerko, 1B
5. Alex Rios, RF
6. A.J. Pierzynski, C
7. Dayan Viciedo, LF
8. Alexei Ramirez, SS
9. Gordon Beckham, 2B
Gavin Floyd, RHP
