Sox's Viciedo a late scratch

CHICAGO -- Chicago White Sox leftfielder Dayan Viciedo was scratched from Saturday’s lineup against the Seattle Mariners because of soreness in his right shoulder.

Viciedo is hitting .254 with 19 home runs and 57 RBIs. He’s 16-for-51 with three home runs and seven RBIs in his last 14 games.

Viciedo was replaced by Jordan Danks in left field.

“It’s not that bad,” White Sox bench coach Mark Parent said of Viciedo. “He was ready to go if we were maybe down a run, two outs depending on who’s hitting, try to hit a homer, tie it or something.”
