CHICAGO -- Here’s a quick look at the Chicago White Sox’s 5-4 win over the Seattle Mariners at U.S. Cellular Field on Saturday.

How it happened: The White Sox overcame a 3-0 deficit in the first inning to rally to win their fifth consecutive game. White Sox starter Jose Quintana struggled in the first inning, allowing two hits, three runs and four walks. He bounced back and didn’t allow another run in the next 4 2/3 innings. The White Sox scored twice in the sixth inning to take a 4-3 lead. Tyler Flowers homered to tie the game, and Dewayne Wise drove in Alexei Ramirez with a single. Ramirez later added a RBI sacrifice fly in the eighth inning. White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski and manager Robin Ventura were ejected in the third inning for arguing the strike zone with home-plate umpire Lance Barrett. Kyle Seager hit two home runs and had four RBIs for the Mariners. Addison Reed picked up his 24th save after blowing a save on Friday.

What it means: The White Sox remained 2 ½ games ahead of the Detroit Tigers in the American League Central. The Tigers defeated the Los Angeles Angels 5-3 on Saturday.

Outside the box: The White Sox went to 15 games over .500 on Saturday for the first time since Sept. 12, 2010.

Up next: Gavin Floyd (9-9, 4.56) will start for the White Sox, and Kevin Millwood (4-10, 4.29) will start for the Mariners in the series finale on Sunday.
