Lineup has Opening Day flavor

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Set to contest their first intrasquad game of the spring Tuesday, the Chicago White Sox are rolling out one lineup that could be fairly similar to one that will be used on Opening Day.

Broken up as Team Vinas and Team Skinner -- in honor of Double-A manager Julio Vinas and Triple-A manager Joel Skinner -- one team will have a more decidedly major league flavor from top to bottom.

Team Skinner is the most stacked with Adam Eaton (center field) in the leadoff spot followed by Alexei Ramirez (shortstop) and Avisail Garcia (right field). Adam Dunn (designated hitter) will bat cleanup followed by Jose Abreu (first base) and Dayan Viciedo (left field). The bottom of the order will consist of Matt Davidson (third base), Tyler Flowers (catcher) and Gordon Beckham (second base).

Team Vinas will counter with a lineup of Alejandro De Aza (LF), Jeff Keppinger (DH), Conor Gillaspie (3B), Paul Konerko (1B), Josh Phegley (C), Jared Mitchell (RF), Trayce Thompson (CF), Marcus Semien (SS) and Carlos Sanchez (2B).

The pitching staffs won’t be as major league-ready with guys like Chris Beck, Andre Rienzo, Scott Snodgress and Nestor Molina taking the mound.

The game is at 11:30 a.m. local time on a back field at the team’s Camelback Ranch facility. Admission is free, as it is for all White Sox workouts.
