Former Chicago White Sox staff ace Mark Buehrle looks as if he will finally be making his first start at U.S. Celular Field in three years.

Although official pitching probables have not been released for the three-game series between the Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago White Sox in Chicago that beings Friday, Buehrle is listed as Saturday’s probable on the team’s official website, bluejays.com.

In 12 seasons with the White Sox, Buehrle went 161-119 while posting a 3.83 ERA. He threw a perfect game, another no-hitter, was a four-time All-Star and won three Gold Glove awards. He started and pitched in relief during the 2005 World Series when the White Sox defeated the Houston Astros.

The fan favorite bolted for the Miami Marlins as a free agent after the 2011 season and was traded to the Blue Jays the following year.

Buehrle has twice pitched against the White Sox in Toronto, but he has never pitched for the opposing team at U.S. Cellular Field.

On June 1, Buehrle was 10-1 with a 2.10 ERA for the Blue Jays after 12 starts. His 12 starts since then, though, have been the polar opposite, as he is just 1-7 with a 4.76 ERA.

In his last start Sunday, the left-hander lasted just 3 1/3 innings while giving up five runs to the Detroit Tigers. That game ended up going 19 innings, with the Blue Jays rallying for a 6-5 victory.
