CHICAGO -- Alejandro De Aza, an outfielder at Triple-A Charlotte, was pulled from the Knights’ game in the first inning Tuesday.

The Charlotte Knights official Twitter account posted a message that read, “In regards to De Aza, he was taken out of the game. It was not injury related. We have not received anything regarding his status.”

De Aza leads Charlotte with a .322 batting average and has an OPS of .871, which is actually six points higher than Dayan Viciedo. He has nine home runs with 37 RBIs and has stolen 22 bases.

Players being pulled from minor-league games are a strong indicator that they have been traded or are being called up. The 27-year-old had a strong spring, but was passed over for a major-league backup outfield job by Lastings Milledge and Brent Lillibridge. Milledge was with the big-league team for just the first week of the season.

The White Sox reportedly have no move pending Tuesday. All White Sox position players are accounted for on the bench.
