• Relief pitcher Jesse Crain will let it all out in a side session on Sunday as he returns from a right side oblique strain. Crain has not pitched in a game since March 12 when he incurred the injury. Crain threw 35 pitches in a side session on Friday.
• Manager Robin Ventura used outfielder Kosuke Fukudome in left field for the first time this spring on Saturday.
”You know maybe late in a game he will be needed in left field,” Ventura said. “He can play every where he could probably play infield if we wanted him to. He s just a sound baseball player”
