Peavy tries to continue NL dominance

By Scott Powers

Jake Peavy owned the National League when he pitched in it, and that hasn’t changed since he’s left.

During his eight years in the NL, Peavy was 92-68 with a 3.29 ERA and won the 2007 Cy Young. Since joining the Chicago White Sox in 2009, Peavy is 6-0 with a 1.81 ERA against the NL.

Peavy will take his immaculate interleague record to the mound Wednesday to face the St. Louis Cardinals.

Here’s a look at the White Sox’s lineup against the Cardinals and their starter Lance Lynn (9-2, 2.66) on Wednesday:

1. Alejandro De Aza, CF
2. Gordon Beckham, 2B
3. Adam Dunn, LF
4. Paul Konerko, 1B
5. Alex Rios, RF
6. A.J. Pierzynski, C
7. Alexei Ramirez, SS
