How it happened:Phil Humber allowed six runs in three innings on Sunday as the Sox were swept by the Tigers. The Sox bullpen gave the team a chance with five scoreless innings, but they couldn’t catch up despite pounding out 10 hits. Alex Rios was 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs for the White Sox.
What it means: The White Sox lost their fifth consecutive game, dropping them 1.5 games behind the surging Tigers in the AL Central. The Sox’s last five-game skid was April 24-28.
Outside the box: The Sox gave up Miguel Cabrera's 299th and 300th career homers on Sunday. They also allowed Tigers rookie Jacob Turner his first major league victory.
