PHILADELPHIA -- Friday night’s White Sox-Phillies game was postponed due to rain and will be played Saturday as part of a day-night doubleheader, the Phillies announced.

The Saturday game originally scheduled to begin at 3:05 p.m. CT will now begin at 2:05 p.m., capped off by the night game at 7:15 p.m.

The Friday night game was supposed to be the second night of the Phillies’ annual fireworks show. The fireworks will now take place after Saturday night’s second game.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura said he was sticking with his all-lefty weekend: John Danks (2-5, 4.31 ERA) will go for the White Sox in the first game, while Hector Santiago (3-5, 3.49 ERA) will go in the second game. Lefty Jose Quintana (4-2, 3.67 ERA) will close out the weekend series on Sunday.
