Fisch hired as Seahawks QB coach

January, 20, 2010
CHICAGO -- Another name mentioned in conjunction with the Bears' coaching staff search is headed elsewhere.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports University of Minnesota offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch will become the Seattle Seahawks' quarterbacks coach. He will be reunited with former Denver Broncos colleague and new Seahawks offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates.

Although Fisch was never under strong consideration for the Bears' offensive coordinator position, his relationship with Jay Cutler made him an attractive option to coach the quarterbacks in Chicago.

Fisch served as wide receivers coach for the Broncos in 2008.
