EDMONTON, Alberta -- The Chicago Blackhawks trailed the Edmonton Oilers 8-2 after two periods at Rexall Place on Saturday.

Edmonton improved on a 5-1 first intermission lead with three power-play goals in the second period. The Hawks responded with their second man-advantage tally of the game but are still far behind after 40 minutes.

The Hawks are playing poorly in their own zone for the second straight night. They’ve given up four power-play goals and four even-strength tallies. One night after he was minus-4 against the Calgary Flames, Duncan Keith has been on the ice for seven of the eight goals scored by the Oilers.

Starting goalie Ray Emery was pulled for Corey Crawford in the first period, but Emery returned to start the second. He’s given up six goals on 20 shots.

The Hawks have power-play tallies by Patrick Sharp and Dave Bolland in what, through the first two periods, has been their worst game of the season.
