Corey Crawford's status remains day-to-day

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford remains day-to-day with an upper-body injury, coach Joel Quenneville said on Sunday.

“He’s progressing here, still day-to-day,” Quenneville said prior to Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Kings. “We’ll see how he is tomorrow.”

Quenneville also said he didn’t foresee Crawford’s injury to be a long-term problem. Quenneville said earlier in the week Crawford’s injury either occurred during Tuesday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks or during Thursday’s practice. Crawford missed Friday’s game against the San Jose Sharks.

Blackhawks goaltender Ray Emery replaced Crawford for a second consecutive game on Sunday. Emery is 4-0-0 on the season.
