Emery named Third Star for February

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Ray Emery was named the NHL's "Third Star" for the month of February on Friday.

Emery went 7-0-0 with a 1.66 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage in eight games in February. He allowed two goals or fewer in seven of the games.

Emery ranks in the top 10 in the NHL with eight wins, a 1.92 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage this season.

Tampa Bay Lightning center Steven Stamkos was named the "First Star," and Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby was the "Second Star" for February. Stamkos had 20 points in the month. Crosby has 18 assists and 24 points in February.
