The Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with forward Garrett Ross, a 2012 fifth-round selection, on a three-year contract on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old Ross had 90 points, which included 44 goals and 46 assists, and a plus/minus rating of plus-31 in 61 games with the Ontario Hockey League's Saginaw Spirit this season. He ranked fourth in the league in goals and seventh in points.
The 6-0, 180-pound Ross had 170 points with the Spirit over four seasons. He was teammates with Blackhawks forward Brandon Saad on the Spirit from 2010-12.
