The Chicago Blackhawks' popularity continues to soar as Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews finished first and second in jersey sales on the NHL’s online shop for the month of October, the NHL announced on Thursday.

Kane led all players in sales and was followed by Toews, Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby, Detroit Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk and Florida Panthers goaltender Tim Thomas.

Toews finished first in jersey sales for the 2013 regular season. Kane was fifth. The top-selling 2013 list also included Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa at No. 6 and Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp at No. 16.

The Blackhawks are coming off their second Stanley Cup championship in four seasons. They have opened this season with a 10-2-4 record.
