CHICAGO – Chicago Blackhawks forward Brandon Saad and defenseman Michal Rozsival will not play against the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday and will miss their second consecutive games due to injuries, Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said.

Saad suffered an upper-body injury against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday. He did not travel with the team to play the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday.

“We’ll see how he is [Thursday,]” Quenneville said prior to the game on Wednesday. “Good chance by the weekend. Fingers crossed for Friday.”

Saad is second on the Blackhawks with a plus-29 rating and is sixth on the team with 44 points. He has 19 goals and 25 assists in 68 games this season.

Rozsival has a lower-body injury and last played on Sunday. Quenneville said Rozsival was progressing, but he would still miss a couple more games.

He has one goal, six assists and a plus-four rating in 38 games this season.
