CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw is questionable to play Wednesday against the Los Angeles Kings in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals. He has missed the last six games with a lower-body injury.
Shaw skated Saturday for the first time since suffering an injury against the Minnesota Wild in the second round on May 2. Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said Shaw will join the team in practice for the first time on Tuesday.
"We'll put him in practice [Tuesday] with the full group and make an assessment on him there," Quenneville said Monday. "He's made some real good progress the last few days, and he felt pretty good today."
Shaw was injured after taking a hit from Wild defenseman Clayton Stoner in the first period during Game 1 of their second-round series. Shaw was hit into the boards and fell to the ice. He limped off and went to the dressing room and did not return for the remainder of the game.
In seven playoff games, Shaw has two goals, two assists and a zero rating while averaging 15:54 of ice time. He had 20 goals, 19 assists and a plus-12 rating in 80 regular-season games.
The Blackhawks took a 1-0 series lead over the Kings with a 3-1 win in Game 1 on Sunday.
