DEERFIELD, Ill. -- The Chicago Bulls begin life without Derrick Rose on Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings, but hobbled guard Kirk Hinrich is ready to play after missing two games in the preseason, the latest with a groin injury.

"He's been fine the last two days in practice so he's good," Thibodeau said.

Thibodeau indicated Hinrich would not be limited as he begins his second stint with the Bulls, replacing Rose as the starting point guard.

"He gets in early, he stays late. He's done a good job," Thibodeau said.

Thibodeau said the Bulls are ready for life without their former MVP.

"I don't want us to change what we're doing," Thibodeau said. "We have an understanding of what it takes to be successful. Each game reveals something to you and it doesn't stop. We want to keep evolving as the season goes along. You're constantly studying and evaluating your team."

The Kings were a conference worst 6-27 on the road last season with a potent offense but a porous defense.

"They can put a lot of points on the board," Thibodeau said. "They have a lot of weapons."

The Bulls play six of their first seven games at home.
