Power Rankings: Bulls close in on top 10

Marc Stein has the Bulls ranked 11th in this week's Power Rankings and that sounds about right given the fact that they lost to the Charlotte Bobcats at home and beat the Miami Heat on the road in the span of five days.

As Stein points out, the Bulls are now 6-2 against the Heat in the regular season over the past three years. But that success against Miami has not carried into the playoffs. It will be interesting to see how these two teams fare once Derrick Rose returns.

Stein also notes the play of Carlos Boozer, who has been great recently. I'd argue that this is the best two-game stretch of Boozer's Bulls career. In wins over the Magic and Heat, Boozer was a dominant offensive force and gave energy on both sides of the ball, combining for 58 points and 23 rebounds. Coach Tom Thibodeau would love to see that keep up over the next few months.
