CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls have fallen two spots to No. 11 in Marc Stein's latest power rankings.

Losses to the Indiana Pacers and the Denver Nuggets helped push the Bulls back last week -- and disgusted Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau because of his team's lackluster defensive effort. Thibodeau's team bounced back nicely in a Friday win over the Utah Jazz but it wasn't enough to keep the Bulls in Stein's top 10. Here is what he says:

"It's getting harder and harder to resist projecting what the Bulls will look like when Derrick Rose comes back. One big reason for that: Chicago already has the best intraconference record in the East at a tidy 23-9. Which goes rather nicely with the East's best road record (15-9)."

The Bulls have done exactly what Thibodeau wanted in Rose's absence. They have continued to win despite injuries and have stayed focused on the task at hand. Aside from Rose's impending return, the other major issue for the Bulls is the health of Joakim Noah. If the plantar fasciitis in his right foot lingers it could derail the Bulls' season.
