DEERFIELD, Ill. – Without going into much detail, Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said after Saturday morning's shootaround that Richard Hamilton will miss at least one more game, but Luol Deng will be available to play Saturday night against the Brooklyn Nets.
Hamilton missed Thursday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers with back spasms and still is not ready to go.
Deng took an elbow to the jaw from the 76ers’ Spencer Hawes late in Thursday’s game. While he did not suffer a concussion from the blow, he had a headache and some lower teeth knocked out of alignment, which required a visit to the dentist.
“His headache is gone,” Thibodeau said.
Taj Gibson, meanwhile, continues along his road to recovery from an MCL sprain in his left knee. There is no timetable for his return from what he deemed a “minor setback.” Gibson hasn’t played since Sunday at Oklahoma City.
“He’s day to day,” Thibodeau said of Gibson. “He’s coming along, though.”
