"They're getting better," Thibodeau said. "So each day they've made good steady progress. We'll see where we are (Saturday)."
When asked specifically if he thought Hamilton, who has missed the past four games, would return at some point during the regular season, Thibodeau was non-committal. "We'll see. We'll see. We don't know. We'll see (Saturday)."
Thibodeau said before Friday's game that he doesn't think Hamilton will make the the upcoming West coast trip to Los Angeles, Sacramento and Golden State.
Aside from the injuries, the Bulls coming into Friday's game having lost nine of their last 14 games and veteran guard Nate Robinson, who will likely start in Hinrich's place again, knows how important this game is before the Bulls start a three game west coast swing.
"For us we got to continue to play as hard as we can for as long as we can," Robinson said. "I think as a team the energy will be there tonight. This is a must-win. So for us we're going to come out and just play hard and just get after them."
Kirk Hinrich, Taj Gibson and Rip Hamilton are out for Friday's game.
