SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Let's take a quick look at how the Sacramento Kings cruised to a dominating 121-79 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night at Sleep Train Arena.

How it happened: Tyreke Evans had 26 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds, while Isaiah Thomas added 22 points as the Kings earned one of their most impressive wins in recent memory. Sacramento shot 54.9 percent from the field. Carlos Boozer led the Bulls with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, but it wasn't close to enough.

What it means: Given the circumstances, and the fact that the Kings were playing without their best player, DeMarcus Cousins (left quad), this was not only the worst loss in the Tom Thibodeau era, it was the most embarrassing. Thibodeau's team looked lifeless from the start and never came close to matching the Kings' effort. The Bulls' will appeared as though it had been broken early, and Thibodeau looked helpless on the sideline – as if he knew there was nothing he could do about it. All the injuries, the offensive ineffectiveness and the constant speculation around Derrick Rose's status have added up to a situation that even hard work and determination can't save the Bulls. They are a mediocre basketball team that has now lost four of their past five games. They were dominated by a bad team on Wednesday night. It's a loss that Thibodeau and his players won't soon forget.

Hits: The Kings turned the ball over only once in the first half -- and just five times in the game.

Misses: Marco Belinelli and Jimmy Butler were a combined 2-for-19 from the field. As a team, the Bulls were 2-for-21 from beyond the arc.

Stat of the night: The Kings went on a 45-10 run in the first half.

What's next: The Bulls continue this West Coast swing Friday night against the Golden State Warriors.
