Chicago Bulls general manager Gar Forman admitted Thursday that Joakim Noah's plantar fasciitis in his right foot is a problem that's likely to linger into the playoffs.

"The concern now is more short-term," Forman said on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000. "I think this is the type of injury where we're trying to manage it and get him better where he's more comfortable.

"But I think this is going to bother him now throughout obviously the season and into the playoffs. We'll look at the options once the season is over as far as trying to remedy what's going on with his plantar fasciitis."

Noah, who recently had a cortisone shot to help alleviate the pain, will miss his 10th game out of the last 11 when the Bulls host the New York Knicks on Thursday. He's battled the injury before, but Forman isn't concerned it will be a long-term problem.

"I don't think so," Forman said. "We're going to need to look at our options once the season is over, and there are things you can do for plantar fasciitis to try to alleviate that so it won't be a problem in the future."
