The Chicago Bulls are looking into Carlos Boozer's explanation as to how he was injured, according to a New York Daily News report.

Boozer, who signed a five-year deal worth as much as $80 million, broke a bone in his right hand on Oct. 2, and he's expected to miss seven more weeks.

After the injury on Oct. 2, Boozer said: "[I was] at my house, came around the corner, fell over a bag, put my arm down to kind of brace myself."

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said it's "non-issue" after practice Monday.

"From what I understand, there's nothing to it," he said. "I spoke to [GM Gar Forman] yesterday and the team's not looking into anything. He tripped over a bag and he got hurt."
