It's in the numbers: 52 wins for Bulls

The AccuScore numbers have been calculated for this season, and Bulls fans are probably going to like what they see. The computers pumped out a 52-30 record for Tom Thibodeau's team, which includes a 95 percent chance to make the playoffs and a 73 percent chance to win the Central Division. By comparison, the Miami Heat have a 100 percent chance to make the playoffs, while the Orlando Magic aren't that far behind at 99 percent.

The other good news for Bulls fans is that the NBA record 72 wins that the 1995-96 team pulled off appears to be safe, if the AccuScore data proves to be correct. The Heat, believed by many to have a chance to eclipse the record with the pairing of LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, are expected to finish the year with 63 wins.

As the season progresses it will be interesting to see how the numbers shake out, but if you asked Bulls general manager Gar Forman if he would be happy with 52 wins, I think he would take that deal right now.
