First-half wrap: Bulls 49, Pacers 33

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Pacers led the Chicago Bulls 49-33 at halftime of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals. The Pacers are shooting 43 percent from the field and playing like a team that has nothing to lose.

Danny Granger and Paul George each have nine points for the Pacers, who controlled the momentum throughout the first half.

Derrick Rose has 10 points for the Bulls. Rose sprained his left ankle at the end of the first quarter and went to the locker room for treatment. He returned to the game soon thereafter and does not seem to be favoring it at all.

The bigger issue for the Bulls is that the Pacers are again scoring at will in the post, outscoring the Bulls 26-14. They also have eight fast-break points while the Bulls have none. Indiana's defense has done a good job of limiting any opportunities the Bulls have had to run.

The Bulls are shooting just 33 percent from the field and Carlos Boozer and Taj Gibson each have three fouls going into the third quarter, while Joakim Noah has two.

The Bulls need a fast start in the second half to get back on track, something Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau undoubtedly preached to his team.
