How it happened: Derrick Rose had 18 points and 10 assists to lead the Bulls to their fifth straight win. Carlos Boozer added 15 points and 11 rebounds while Luol Deng chipped in 14 points. The Bulls played solid defense throughout the night, holding the Raptors to just 34.9 percent shooting from the floor. Taj Gibson gave the Bulls a huge lift off the bench, scoring 11 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.
What it means: Both teams looked gassed on this night, but it was the Bulls who pulled away in the fourth quarter, when they outscored the Raptors 21-12. As usual, when the Bulls had to make a run and finish off the game they were able to do so. Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau knows how tired his team is, so he will gladly take a win -- even if it wasn't particularly pretty.
Stats of the night: The Raptors made just one free throw all night. They were 1-for-7 from the charity stripe.
What's next: The Bulls have a day off before facing off against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday afternoon.
