Northwestern's Colter wins Big Ten honor

Northwester sophomore Kain Colter was named the Big Ten co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Colter had 229 yards of total offense in Saturday’s 28-25 upset win over Nebraska. He rushed for 57 yards and two touchdowns, threw for 115 yards and one touchdown and caught three passes for 57 yards.

“The sky is the limit for him and for his future,” Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald said following Saturday’s game.

Colter shared the weekly honor with Wisconsin running back Montee Ball. Northwestern’s Drake Dunsmore was the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week last week.
