Silva needs two rehab starts before return

Chicago Cubs manager Lou Piniella said that right-handed pitcher Carlos Silva most likely will be sent out next week to begin his rehab from a procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat.

Pitching coach Larry Rothschild told Piniella that Silva will need to continue to throw on the side this week and then have at least two rehab outings in the minors.
