In a four-round vote that lasts until June 6, the 16 players are battling for cover-boy consideration in a bracket-style format. The first round of voting concludes at 4 p.m. ET Thursday. If Green makes it past this first round of voting, he'll square off with the winner of the Cam Newton/Antonio Brown first-round matchup. Round 2 voting begins later Thursday.
Green's opening-round matchup has been with Kansas City's Jamaal Charles. Both are three-time Pro Bowlers and have been among the league's best at their positions in recent years.
Charles, whose career began in 2008, has four 1,100-yard rushing seasons. Last year, he was 13 yards shy of 1,300.
The Bengals' No. 4 overall pick in 2011, Green has 3,833 career receiving yards and averages nearly 82 yards receiving per game.
