The skinny: Joins Brandon Weeden (Browns), Brady Quinn (Browns), J.P. Losman (Bills) and Rex Grossman (Bears) as quarterbacks taken 22nd overall. ... In last 37 drafts, only Browns (Manziel, Weeden), Seahawks (Dan McGwire, Rick Mirer) and Colts (Art Schlichter, John Elway) have taken first-round quarterbacks within three years. When he starts, he becomes the 21st to start a game for the Browns since 1999. ... First FBS player to have 7,000 passing yards and 2,000 rushing yards in his first two seasons. ... Led the FBS in Total Quarterback Rating in 2012; every player that led the nation in Total QBR from 2008 through 2011 is an NFL starter (Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck, Colin Kaepernick, Sam Bradford). ... Known as a scrambler, but completed 73.5 percent of his throws from the pocket. ...
