The Browns returned for a short, 60-minute workout following an off weekend and a win over Buffalo on Thursday night.
Defensive tackle Desmond Bryant was back on the practice field. Bryant left the win over the Bills with shortness of breath, but he said in the locker room after practice that the issue is being treated with medication. Bryant said he had the issue last season in Oakland, and admitted it is scary. He said when it happens, his heart rate speeds up. He had a similar experience last season when he played in Oakland.
Running back Chris Ogbonnaya and linebacker Jabaal Sheard worked on the side with trainers during practice. Ogbonnaya had a concussion and is going through league protocols, and Sheard is still coming back from a knee injury.
Defensive lineman Billy Winn, who has missed the last two games, said in the locker room that he is ready to play.
Quarterback Brian Hoyer is getting a second opinion on his injured right knee, which is his right under the CBA. No date for his surgery is scheduled yet.
