Cleveland Browns: 2013 NFL Week 8 Power Rankings
Preseason: 28 | Last Week: 18 | ESPN.com Power Ranking since 2002
Cleveland Browns stock is plummeting. From a season high of 16 two weeks ago, the Browns have dropped to 22nd in the ESPN Power Rankings. That’s their lowest point since they were 24th following Week 4. Consecutive losses have seen the Browns drop from 16 to 18 to 22. Giants reporter Dan Graziano continues to show the Browns a lot of love; he has them at 17. But national writer Kevin Seifert has them at 27.
The Browns' 3-4 record is far better than the quality of play produced since Brandon Weeden returned to the starting lineup. Things have gone south, as the offense has scored 13 points the past six quarters and the defense has given up 31 the past two games.
If things don’t change quickly, the Browns are headed back to where they’ve resided in the Power Ranking since they were instituted in 2002: near the bottom.
