Michigan's congressional delegation members have sent a letter to Michigan State coach Tom Izzo calling on him to continue his career at the school rather than leave for the NBA.

Rep. Mike Rogers, who represents East Lansing, even went ahead and issued a press release about leading bipartisan group in the letter campaign.

"We do wish Tom and his family the best future possible, but we sure would like to see that continue to be at MSU where he has a great record of winning titles, getting young mens lives on the right track, and keeping Michigan in the national spotlight," Rogers said in a statement.

In a statement from Rep. Mark Schauer: "While offers from the NBA would tempt anyone, Coach Izzo has an opportunity to build on his success by staying at Michigan State and winning another national championship this season. One thing is clear -- Spartan fans love Coach Izzo, and we're ready to fight to keep him here."
